The talk will focus on our experience in developing an integrated natural language processing pipeline, consisting of several distinct components, operating across multiple languages. We will demonstrate a cross-language information retrieval method that enables reuse of the same language resources across languages, by using a knowledge base in one language to disambiguate named entities in text, written in another language, as developed in the Enrycher system ( We discuss the architectural implications of this ability on the development practices and its prospects as a tool for automated translation of specific concepts and phrases in a content management system.
