Tilman Krauch was born in Mühlheim (Ruhr), Germany, in 1962. He studied chemistry at the University of Freiburg, Germany, and at the ETH Zurich, Switzerland. After taking his doctorate and spending postdoc periods at the Shemiakin Institute, Moscow, Russia, and Kyoto University, Japan, Krauch started work in BASF’s plastics laboratory in 1990. Tilman Krauch is married and has four children.
