Good
This guy is good. I have forgotten my math but I still could follow his speech. I got it even if I didn't understood the mathematical notation...
Why is there no sound when I play this usind Window Media player 11?
Nothing happens when I click on the thumbnails. :(
No sound with WMP 11
For those having trouble with WMP, try opening the video via Winamp or some other program such as VLC. Choose open URL and then put: mms://velblod2.ijs.si/pascal/2006/mlss06_taipei/roweis_sam/roweis_sam_00.wmv
I hope this helps.
Regarding the sound issues...
We have found out that a possible cause could be the Windows Media Player 11 issues with videos with Mono sound. If you are experiencing the same problems while playing videos on http://www.cnn.com/ than that may be it.
Please check the following web pages for a solution

If you find a solution, please let is know so we can share it with others or fix something on the VideoLectues site (if applicable).

I'm a fan of Mr. Roweis :)
Another very well presented lecture by him.
He's cute! Haha
Perfectly and efficiently taken......Hats off....!!
Sam has done amazingly good job at explaining topic in a very simple manner!
Can any one tell me what is the best way to download the wmv file so that I don't need to be online every time when I want to watch it?
it seems to me the link simply invokes media player to play without a way to save the file.
Many thanks

jbgao: Install the latest real player and you will be able to download these videos by right cliking on them.
Hope this helps!
masterly eloquence
Thank you for your contribution.
FWIW - I found this excellent lecture series from this blog: http://kmandcomputing.blogspot.com/, which features easy-to-understand examples of how to use RapidMiner, one of the best, or dare I say 'the best', free machine learning Swiss Army Knife applications.
Many, if not all of the models discussed in the video lectures are available in RapidMiner.
Thanks again!
How can I download the file?
I want to rip the audio off it, so I can listen to it in the car.
Very helpful video.
I've been trying to get into this lately, but my starting point were usually some too advanced papers/videos, where I was lacking some basic knowledge and sometimes vocabulary to understand the motivation behind this or that etc.
Things just started to become much clearer to me and it gave me new ideas about how to proceed.
Hi,
I anot able to download this video. If it's free, it should be downloadable, right ? My net connection is a little slow and I cant afford to watch this stuff often. Is there a way to download it ?
Thanx.
I wonder what's going on with the little discontinuity in the video around 16 minutes in.
It seems that part3 & part4 do not uploaded well. Could anybody help to fix it? Thx.
Nice introduction to Machine Learning!
