Description

I am an assistant research professor of computer science at Johns Hopkins University. I primarily work in the Human Language Technology Center of Excellence (COE), home to many excellent researchers in NLP. I also am affiliated with the Center for Speech and Language Processing (CLSP).

Research Interests

I have a range of research interests in machine learning, natural language processing and intelligent user interfaces. The most exciting work combines these three areas in new and interesting ways. Specifically, I've recently worked in online learning, semi-supervised learning, intelligent email and domain adaptation.
