A signi ficant fraction of the pages on the web are generated from structured databases. A longstanding goal of the semantic web initiative is to get webmasters to make this structured data directly available on the web. The path towards this objective has been rocky at best. While there have been some notable wins (such as RSS and FOAF), many of the other initiatives have seen little industry adoption. Learning from these earlier attempts has guided the development of, which appears to have altered the trajectory. Two years after its launch over 4 million Internet domains are are using markup. In this talk, we recount the history behind the early efforts and try to understand why some of them succeeded while others failed. We will then give an update on, its goals, accomplishments and where it is headed. We will also discuss some of the interesting research problems being addressed in the context of this effort.

Thank you for making this video available. This 'meta-conversation' about Schema is SO essential. Guha, some very helpful background and insight into where things stand and where they're going.

Due to the mixture of genes, Thai women are well-known due to their gorgeous appearance features. Despite the fact that nature endowed them with such a gift, they also take care of and keep themselves in great shape. Among all Asian beauties, brides from Thailand are believed to be the cutest ones. Most of them can also be proud of their excellent and proportional body parameters.

The Semantic Web is an extension of the World Wide Web through standards set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The goal of the Semantic Web is to make Internet data machine-readable.

Google uses structured data that it finds on the web to understand the content of the page, as well as to gather information about the web and the world in general.

The Structured Data Markup Helper helps you mark up elements on your web page so that Google can understand the data on the page.
