Helmut Grabner received a MSc degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in Telematics and a PhD degree (Dr.techn) in Computer Science, both from Graz University of Technology in 2004 and 2008, respectively. He is currently a post doc researcher at the Computer Vision Lab at ETH-Zurich. His research interests are mainly on-line and incremental machine learning for computer vision (e.g., object detection, tracking, recognition and event detection) in particular in the field of visual surveillance.
He serves as a program committee member for the major computer vision conferences ICCV, ECCV, and CVPR and is routinely reviewing for IEEE Trans. PAMI and Pattern Recognition.
