Description
I am a second year PhD student in Andrew McCallum's Information Extraction Synthesis Laboratory. I am currently working on integrating named-entity and relation extraction with text-based topic models. My research goal is to explore new ways of helping people work with large, unfamiliar text collections. Before coming to UMass, I worked for an internet auction startup, a Computer Science department in England, and a cultural heritage digital library. I have a particular interest in historical texts and languages.
