Znanstvenikom na Inštitutu Jožef Stefan (IJS) je konec minulega leta uspelo ustvariti magnetni tekoči kristal, za katerega so si njihovi kolegi po svetu prizadevali dobra štiri desetletja. Gre za vrhunski uspeh, ki bo v prihodnosti omogočal številne nove priložnosti, med drugim tudi v telekomunikacijah. Povezava do članka na spletni strani STAkrog.

Scientists at the Jožef Stefan Institute have managed to create a magnetic liquid crystal, a feat that their colleagues around the world had been attempting in vain for over four decades.
