We're excited to announce that we've developed the official Videolectures.Net mobile app for Android and iOS, and a new feature that allows you to make your personal notes on specific video timestamps!

We're happy to announce that the wait is over: Today we're releasing our new official Videolectures.Net app to bring all the great video content on our website directly to your iOS and Android devices. Read on to see what it offers and how you can get our new app and take all the knowledge of our website with more than 27,000 scientific lectures in your pocket!

What is Videolectures.net Mobile App?

We have created the official Videolectures.Net app to bring all the great video content from our website directly to your iOS and Android devices. We still support and follow the principles of Open Education, so you can use the app immediately and for free!

Here are just a few of the benefits of the app:

Streaming and interacting with videos in a native app format Now you can easily stream, bookmark, and manage your playlists in a custom-built mobile app without the challenges of a mobile browser.

Easily favorite videos for later Once you've found a video you like, tap the star icon and find the video later on your personal profile page in the app.

Quick filtering to find what you're looking for Our app uses Elasticsearch, so you can find relevant content without having to scroll through thousands of titles. And since the search only applies to videos, you can find your video content easier than ever before.

Learn by taking notes An exciting feature for those who need to go back to certain parts of the videos, take note of the references used, or need to deepen the knowledge, you can annotate the videos with your personal notes without leaving the app. Just tap the note icon in the bottom right corner, make a note, tap create note and do it anytime in the video. If you need that clever quote or another look into a complicated algorithm, just visit your profile page, go to "Notes," tap on the video, and you'll see a handy play button that will take you to the exact spot in the video.

Watch the slides as if you were there Videolectures.Net has been collecting slides from speakers since the repository launched. The video player on our website provides a synchronized view so our viewers can really focus on the knowledge being shared. In the app, you can now listen to the audio as you scroll through the speaker slides and accelerate to the parts that interest you.

Discover The knowledge on Videolectures.Net is categorized by scientific field and we can recommend content based on our proprietary recommendation engines. So have fun browsing and you'll be surprised where you end up.

Growing content The content on Videolectures.Net never stops growing. We have a long history of publishing relevant conferences and are always looking for new scientific conferences to bring to you. Let us know if you have any ideas or requests for what you would like to learn about and maybe we can help!

Have fun with the knowledge!
