About
Professor Chaim Cedar is a pioneer in the field of DNA methylation and epigenetics. His earliest work established the pattern of DNA methylation, after which he demonstrated its regulatory mechanisms and its role in development and cancer. Over the last three decades Professor Cedar has established himself as pre-eminent scientist and world class teacher. Most recently he received the Wolf Prize in recognition of his great contribution to the field of epigenetics and biology. In a series of four lectures, Professor Cedar will give an overview of the history of epigenetics with an emphasis on his personal role and ideas in the development of the field.
