Cloud Assisted Services in Europe (CLASS) Conference, Bled 2014

The CLASS 2014 Conference is dedicated to a view of Cloud computing through the opportunity Europe has to ‘leapfrog’ other world regions and develop technology, legal and regulatory framework and associated business to play a key role in international cloud computing.

Cloud strategy in Europe has focused its initiatives around three key actions: standardization, contract terms & conditions and European Cloud partnership. The European Cloud Computing Strategy plans to establish common standards, codes of best practices and guidelines for SLA’s as well as certification to aid interoperability, data portability and help discourage vendor lock-in to build public trust in Cloud Computing and eventually boost the adoption of the technology.

In respect to technical and commercial fundamentals, the aim is to extend EU's research support and focus on critical issues such as security and availability of cloud services.
