About
SMR STEPS (SMR STakeholder Engagement Project for Slovenia) is an initiative led by Slovenian members of the European Industrial (EI) Alliance on SMRs. Our primary objectives include (1) serving as a best-practice example for stakeholder engagement, (2) establishing a comprehensive SMR information hub, and (3) facilitating SMR development, demonstration and deployment.
The hybrid SMR Stakeholder Engagement Event titled Unlocking the Future of SMRs: Navigating the Public Engagement Challenges has brought together the nuclear supply chain, energy utilities, educational and research institutions, policymakers, civil society representatives and other key stakeholders to discuss the importance of stakeholder engagement for the future of SMRs. It was organized as part of the 33rd International Conference Nuclear Energy for New Europe (September 9 – 12, Portorož, Slovenia).
