In this film, Matej Brešar, the principal investigator of the research group "Algebras and Rings" at the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Mechanics, presents the group, its working areas, and some of its achievements. The group consists of 20 mathematicians from University of Ljubljana and University of Maribor. The main research areas are Algebra and Functional Analysis. An emphasis is on noncommutative algebras and rings.
