We know dS≡δQr/T, and S is proved to be a thermodynamic state function. Also, dX≡δWr/T, X can also be easily proved to be a thermodynamic state function for an ideal gas system only volume with only volume work being done.see http://s11.sinaimg.cn/middle/001q1Ahg...
Can X be a new state function for all thermodynamic system?
