Description

Matej Accetto studied Law at the University of Ljubljana, taking his LL.B. in 2000; he then received an LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 2001 and a Doctorate in Law from the University of Ljubljana in 2006, where he currently holds a research position. He is also a former Fellow of the Slynn Foundation (2003–04) and Partridge Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge, Fitzwilliam College (2006).

He is involved in and/or coordinating a number of research projects that deal with the issues of EU law and legal terminology, is a member of the national expert group verifying the Slovene version of the historical jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice and lectures both in Slovenia and abroad on issues concerning EU law, issues of federalism, human rights and minorities. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Evropski pravni vestnik (European law bulletin) and Assistant Editor of Slovenian Law Review, and the author of two books as well as numerous articles and contributions on EU law and related fields.
