Professor at the Faculty of arts in Maribor, Marko Jesenšek is the author of the monography The Slovene Language in the Alpine and Pannonian Language Area: the History of the Slovene Language, which is a big contribution in the heritage of combined world knowledge about language situation on Slovene grounds, especially about the development of slovene language throughout history.
