I wouldn't even come try to come close to discussing or posting such serious content in social media. Social media are meant for entertainment and gossip and fashion and beauty. Not philosophic or academic discussions!

I don't know. Maybe you need to find a different target audience in social media? I think that academic stuff will have enough viewers. In Twitch, for example, I used https://streamerplus.com/buy-twitch-v... to gain the basis of my account, and then I just invited my academic friends and they joined too. Another thing is that cats and gossip will gain more views and followers for the reason you describe. But your niche is your business.
